Gladstone, Missouri native and local artist Katherine Morris is a graduate from the Kansas City Art Institute. In 2005 she started her experimentation’s with applique and soft sculptures. Soon after graduating, she took part in the Crossroads arts district exhibiting in several galleries as well as opening her own gallery for a brief time. Due to the unusual use of textiles, she has been featured in the Kansas
City Star, the Pitch and Review magazines. The evocative crescent form has been intriguing people for thousands of years. Ms. Morris’ techniques give this shape a new life and communicate to a deeper collective recognition.
