What is matting? Is it always necessary?
Matting is designed to border the art to create contrast that creates depth. If the art is colorful, a neutral mat is best. If there is a certain color that is to be featured, we can match that with our extensive matting selection. Matting is not always necessary, depending on the piece.
Do you stretch loose canvases?
Yes. We can stretch a canvas without the purchase of a frame or we can stretch your canvas along with framing your piece.
Do you offer museum and conservation framing?
Yes. We use acid-free materials to protect the art for many years to come, so the art condition will be conserved in the same way it was when it was brought in. We also use conservation glass that filters out 99% of UV rays that can cause fading over time.
