Glass Sculptor
Cheryl Vowels
Cheryl Vowels is a glass sculptor based in Springfield, MO. Cheryl works by infusing the glass directly with pigment to create stunning colors. She also uses materials like stainless steel to stablize and reinforce the glass pieces of the sculpture, namely in her floral creations. She’s studied stained glass with master glass artist Jim Garner, blown glass with master glass artists Terry and Gabe Bloodworth, and fused glass with artists Peggy Pettigrew-Stewart, Craig Mitchell-Smith, Lauri Spray, and Dale Keaton. She has exhibited in galleries regionally since 1989.
