Cedric has been an artist since he was a child. He always loved art and creating things. His fascination with the beauty of nature started at an early age. Cedric had difficulties in his life and always found comfort in his artwork. It was an escape from the struggles of life. Cedric struggled to find the right fit for his major until he found commercial art advertising and design.  He attended Penn Valley Community College and Midwestern StateUniversity in Wichita Falls, TX. Cedric put his art aside when he started his Car Detailing Business and took time to raise his two sons. After his sons finished high school and left for college, he was given an art set for his birthday and started painting again. Cedric’s colors are meant to draw you into the painting, and the depth perception puts you on a journey in the work, finding many intricate details every time you admire his work. He wants his paintings to brighten your life and the room. Even after finishing a painting, he always believes that he can embellish the details and perfect his colors and lines. The only time a painting is truly done is once it has been sold. He challenges himself to do more with every paint stroke he takes. When viewing Cedric’s art, the brain’s analysis of the art stimulates questions about the meaning of the piece and the emotions/experiences of the artist that led to Cedric’s creation.Through this experience the brain focuses solely on the piece and the artist, letting the person take a break from the stress and worries of everyday life. When consistently done over time, viewing Cedric’s art can create a sensory, emotional, or spiritual experience for Cedric’s viewers.
